Alexandria Industries had a successful fundraiser for cancer research on Feb. 17.
"Fishing for the Cure" eclipsed the company's goal of raising $50,000 for Relay for Life.
Nearly 1,600 participants, including 218 children aged 12 and younger, took to the ice of Smith Lake to compete for prizes for catching the largest walleye, northern, crappie, sunfish and perch.
Raffle prizes were also awarded. The top prize, an Ice Castle fish house, was won by Sanford Olson.
Other winners included: generator - Cory Svor; portable fish house - Evelyn Leuschke; Klim Wear - Mike Heuer; ice auger - Greg Hill; TV - Mike Markman; Vexilar - Steve Kelly; and Buddy Heater - Mike Schlosser.

This is the 12th year that Alexandria Industries has organized the event.
