The news of the reality stars' engagement was announced last Saturday via Us Weekly. According to a source, they want their big day to happen "sometime next year."

The two have reportedly been dating since 2008 and found fame on former reality series The Hills.

In a recent interview posted on Too Fab, Patridge mentioned that she keeps in touch with a few of her co-stars from the scandalous drama, but they've all pretty much moved on at this point.

"Heidi [Montag] actually texts me every now and then," Patridge said. "Stephanie [Pratt], and we see Brody and his girlfriend in LA often. Other than that, it's just kind of running into people, but everyone is kind of doing their own thing right now and living in other parts of the county."

Even though life has changed for everyone, Patridge mentioned that it's still nice to unexpectedly run into them.

"It's weird because we were all together so much, and now it's kind of like everything and everyone has their own separate life," she said. "But it's always nice to catch up when you run into each other."
