CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local non-profit, Communities in Schools of the Coastal Bend, will host their fourth annual Forever Amigos Concert on Sept. 26.
Communities in Schools of the Coastal Bend delivers school-based resources to at risk students in 42 area schools.
Diamond Rio has been announced as this year's featured artist.
There was a kick-off event Wednesday morning that featured a phone conversation with members of Diamond Rio.
"We really believe it's important for Communities in Schools of the Coastal Bend to have these large fundraisers because making sure that the students have everything they need to succeed, it's not free," Julia Kriegel, CEO of Oneta Company, Pepsi Cola Corpus Christi, says. "And we love fun ways for the community to give back."
The concert will be Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds. The event, sponsored by Pepsi, includes barbecue, drinks and auctions.
