Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has announced his engagement to college sweetheart Lauren Pesce.
The 35-year-old reality star, most famous for starring in MTV series Jersey Shore, revealed the happy news on his Instagram page on Thursday.
Sharing a picture of him sitting next to Lauren, showing off her new ring, Mike referenced Jersey Shore’s famous “Gym, Tan, Laundry” catchphrase as he wrote: “GYM TAN WE’RE ENGAGED!! THE FUTURE MR & MRS SITUATION.”

Lauren shared a picture from the same shoot on her Instagram page, writing alongside the close-up: “I said YES (ring emoji) love you forever @mikethesituation.”

Mike and Lauren first dated back in college, and were together for four years before splitting ahead of him joining the Jersey Shore cast in 2009. When the show ended in 2012, they rekindled their relationship, and are now happier than ever.

“I’m currently living the dream and proposed to my college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, amongst my best friends on the biggest reality show in the country,” Mike added of the engagement to Us Weekly. “We are so proud and excited to share this chapter of our story with the world.”
