The Big Bang Theory is a show about some of the smartest people in the world, so it makes sense that it would want to cast some big guest stars who have astronomical IQ numbers. 

The latest addition to the cast is Bill Gates, and he will play himself in one episode of the CBS comedy series that will hit the air in March.

But what causes his path to cross with the characters?

According to various reports, the Microsoft co-founder will show up at a function at Penny's work, and her brainy friends will go to extreme lengths to try and get an invite to the event.

Will everyone find a way to meet the genius, or will some of the key characters be left out in the cold?

The series has become well-known for casting some of the biggest names in the world. From 

Star Trek‘s Leonard Nimoy and George Takei, to Star Wars‘ Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones, the series knows how to pull off some big casting stunts. 

The Big Bang Theory continues to rank as the highest-rated sitcom on all of TV.

The Big Bang Theory Season 11 is currently averaging 14.5 million viewers and a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49 in live+ same day metrics.

The series is expected to conclude during the 2018-2019 season after 12 seasons. This has yet to be confirmed, but recent comments from the cast seem to confirm it.
