The Pottersville Community House Acoustic Cafe is bringing back their very popular Musicians in the Round on Jan. 7.

Instead having one feature artist for the entire evening, there will be several different artists sharing the stage.  Each artist will play four or five songs, some original and some cover.  We have listed the artists below, along with a brief bio, in the order they will perform.  You will not want to miss this talent-packed evening.

Thomas Johnston is an acoustic-based rock musician that mixes his own original works with a cover-song play list from artists such as the Beatles, Van Morrison, Willie Nelson, Arlo Guthrie, U2, Simon & Garfunkel, and John Denver.  Proving you're never too old and it's never too late, Thomas Johnston of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey has emerged as an acclaimed singer/songwriter.  After two and one half years in an acoustic duo which was named "Best New Artist" at the 2011 Jersey Acoustic Music Awards, Thomas launched his solo project in August 2012.  Born and raised in Bronx, New York, with Irish family roots in County Clare and Belfast, he crafts his original songs by combining traditional and contemporary Irish music with folk and Americana.

Adam Rothman is a 22 year old musician who has been performing since he was 16. He's found inspiration from artists like Ben Howard, John Mayer, and Mumford & Sons. He's played many coffee houses and retreats and leads contemporary worship at Pottersville Reformed Church on Sunday mornings.

Joe Janci is one of a select breed of singer/songwriters to emerge from the fertile music scene of the great Northeast.  Inspired by The Beatles, WABC Radio in NYC, and his NJ neighbors, Joe was off and running with his dream to make music, be in a band, and impress girls.  Indeed, there was lots of musical inspiration to be found in those wonderful Sixties. Songwriting bloomed during the 70's and 80's and along with Joe's younger brother Jack the two started to focus on their talents via several notable bands such as Pure Spirits. Eventually the Janci brothers became an acoustic duo. Musical contacts in the NYC Region, as well as, Los Angeles and Nashville brought great experience and knowledge to their craft.

As you can see, this is one Acoustic Cafe you will not want to miss.  Doors open at 7:30, refreshments including coffee, soft drinks, appetizers and desserts are on the house, no cover charge but donations are appreciated.

The Acoustic Cafe is held in the Community House right in the heart of Pottersville at 2091 Black River Road (directly across from the Pottersville Church).  You can check out the Acoustic Cafe on the church's website at pottersville@rcachurches.org, call 908-439-2628 or email pottersville.church@aol.com for more information on their community events and weekly worship services.
