Burke Lake Park Ghost Train: Details For Spooky Fun

Look no further than the Burke Lake Park Ghost Train for some spooky family fun.

On the weekend of Oct. 27-28, 2018, Burke Lake Park will transform into a spooky (but kid-friendly) Halloween attraction. That's right, the popular Burke Lake Park Ghost Train is coming up.

Visitors take a train ride and see actors dressed up in costumes along the way. The event is appropriate for all ages. Other activities include a moon bounce, carousel and pumpkin painting. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the Burke Lake Park Ice Cream Parlor. Visitors are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes.

Rides run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on both days. Tickets are available in person, with the last tickets sold at 4 p.m. Tickets are $6 for ages two and older and free for children younger than two.

The event is seeking volunteers as costumed actors along the train route and to paint pumpkins and hand out candy. Costumes are provided. The minimum volunteer age is 14. Volunteers can earn community service hours. A volunteer interest meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Burke Lake Park Ice Cream Parlor, or you can sign up here.

Burke Lake Park is located at 7315 Ox Road, Fairfax Station.
