Basketball star Tony Parker is suing the New York nightclub where he was injured during a brawl between music stars Chris Brown and Drake.
The 30-year-old sportsman, who was married to Eva Longoria for four years until divorcing last year, today filed a $20 million lawsuit against the owners of W.i.P nightclub in the SoHo area of the city.
In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Parker holds the owners responsible for his 'corneal laceration of the left eye and other injuries.'
He also blames the W.i.P for letting Brown, Drake and their entourages into the club at the same time before things erupted in the early hours of June 14.
The filing says: 'The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake’s entourage and Brown’s entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two.'
According to the New York Post, sources allege that Drake, 25, 'sent Brown into a rage when his table sent over note that read, 'I am f****ng the love of your life,' allegedly in reference to Rihanna.
Parker's lawyer said Rihanna 'Has been known, like Helen of Troy, to cause trouble.'
Insiders said that the note was sent after Brown had bought the hip-hop star a pricey bottle of Champagne, while Drake's side maintains the fight was instigated by a member of Brown’s entourage.

In additional comments about the club, he added that the by giving both entourages alcohol and bottle service, 'You’re throwing gasoline on the flames.'
According the lawsuit, Parker was not sitting with either group when the problems started. However, he states that: 'Me and my friends took some punches. They started throwing bottles everywhere.'
The Post reports that Parker, who plays for Texas team The San Antonio Spurs, will be out of action for a week while his eye heals with the help of a 'therapeutic' contact lens.
