DEVILS LAKE-Five people face federal drug charges for allegedly delivering meth on the Spirit Lake reservation.

Nestor Lopez Jr., 26, Theresa Rose Lopez, 29, and Fernando Lopez, 19, all of Devils Lake were indicted Thursday on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance as well as distribution of a controlled substance, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Fargo. Fort Totten, N.D., residents Winterhawk Leonard Oldrock, 37, and Janet Joyce Oldrock, 34, face the same charges.

The charges stem from allegations that the five suspects possessed and distributed methamphetamine in Devils Lakes, as well as within the Spirit Lake Nation, according to a statement.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Lake Region Narcotics Task Force and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
