Memorial walk set at Bacon Academy

The Stroll for Steve will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday on the Bacon Academy track.

The walk is in memory of Stephen F. Smith, who died from Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children younger than 8.

All proceeds will benefit the Bacon Academy Scholarship established by Smith’s family.

A candlelight memorial lap will be at 8:45 p.m. Donations may be sent to Bacon Academy, c/o Community Activism, 611 Norwich Ave., Colchester, CT 06415.
