TORONTO — Shannon Tweed, the wife of KISS rocker Gene Simmons, is guest-starring on the upcoming CW sitcom Seed.
Tweed, an A&E reality star with Gene Simmons: Family Jewels, will play Rose’s judgmental mother in an episode to air in Canada on the City network, ahead of Seed debuting on The CW this summer.
The Canadian comedy, created by executive producer Joseph Raso and with Mark Farrell as showrunner, features Adam Korson as Harry, an ill-equipped bachelor bartender whose first foray into sperm donation produces a raft of kids.
He also strikes up a budding relationship with Rose, a single woman played by Carrie-Lynn Neales, who used the sperm bank to get pregnant.
The writer’s room for Seed was expanded, as was the range of characters for the Canadian comedy after it was acquired by The CW.
