Though Christie’s is renowned for its antique jewelry offerings, next week the auction house is turning its eye toward new design — the type of pieces favored by the client who’d rather submit bids with a click of a mouse than with a paddle. The auction house has tapped Dalia Oberlander, a former Sotheby’s employee and founder of the fashionable fine jewelry site Latest Revival, to curate a limited-edition, seven-piece collection to be sold exclusively online. The assortment includes Monique Péan’s diamond pavé ring with a fossilized dinosaur bone; Deborah Pagani’s chandelier earrings with gray and black diamonds; and custom necklaces, earrings and rings by influential brands such as Maiyet, Pamela Love and Completedworks. Each piece also comes with a signed sketch from the designer. “It’s jewelry that can be passed down through generations and will remain as relevant and fresh in the future as it is now,” Oberlander says.

The Christie’s Curated by Latest Revival auction begins Wednesday, Feb. 4, at christies.com. Items range in price from $3,000 to $132,680.

An earlier version of this post misstated the lineup of jewelry designers participating in the Christie's auction. Fernando Jorge's piece was not included in the final lineup, which brings the number of pieces created for the auction up to seven, not eight.
