The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons are playing live on the NFL schedule for Thursday Night Footfall and the game is live from the Georgia Dome at 8:30 pm ET on CBS and the NFL Network for the TV coverage and it has ATL coming in after a bad loss and the Bucs looking to bounce back as well as these two NFC South division rivals battle for the first game of the football week.

The Buccaneers come into this game against the Falcons after a loss against the Rams last weekend in a rain filled game in Tampa and they are looking to bounce back after being 0-2 on the season. The team was picked as a sleeper in the division by many around the league and now they have already lost a division game at home and now they hit the road for three straight games. The Buccaneers had two home games with the Panthers and the Rams and they will play against the Steelers next after the Falcons.

The team has a tough stretch into their bye week, as they play three straight against the Falcons, Steelers and New Orleans Saints. The team has three division games in the first three weeks of the season and they are looking to win at least one of the next two they have and they will head into the bye week after playing at home against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Falcons have the Vikings out of the bye week and after that starts another tough stretch with three road games in four weeks. The team has the Falcons at home, but they will also have to deal with the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears on the road and those are all tough places to play. The team has another stretch of three games on the road in four weeks mixed in with that other one, as the Redskins and Bears game leads into a home matchup with the Bengals before two more road games.

The team basically has four road games in five weeks and five in seven and that includes the Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers. The team ends the season with very tough matchups against the Packers and the Saints, but at least those games will be at home. The Falcons come into the game after splitting their first two games and that included an exciting win against the Saints before getting killed by the Bengals last weekend.

The team has the Vikings and the Giants next before playing the Bears and the Ravens and that has a stretch of three games on the road on four weeks. The team has the Ravens and Lions heading into their bye week and then they come out with two road division games against the Buccaneers and Panthers. The Falcons have a tough back stretch of the schedule and that includes a Monday night game against the Packers in Green Bay.

The Falcons went 4-12 last season and the Buccaneers also missed the playoffs and no matter what happens here, at least one team is going to be in a big hole. The Falcons at 1-2 will be a good team in the Panthers and even with the Saints at 0-2 they can't be counted out either. The Falcons defense has not registered a sack yet and they have given up a ton of rushing yards and they will need to lock that down.
