Comedy genius and noted Eloquii fan Melissa McCarthy is setting out to fulfill a lifelong dream to become a fashion designer. According to WWD, McCarthy has signed a multiyear contract with Gerard Guez's Sunrise Brands (which owns American Rag, Diane Gilman, People's Liberation, Seven7 Jeans and Superdry) to reinterpret its Seven7 line with a collection of casual plus and straight size sportswear for fall 2015.

According to the report, the price points will be friendly: knit tops will retail for $39 to $79, sweaters for $79 to $99 and bottoms for $59 to $118, and accessories and beauty items are expected to be added in 2016 and 2017. If all goes well, McCarthy's team told WWD that there's a more contemporary collection at a higher price point in the works (specifically with design career potential in mind). The name of the line, as well as the retailer who will sell the initial designs, hasn't been nailed down yet.
