Former Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino's tanning salon in New Jersey has been shut down over unpaid bills.

TMZ reported that law enforcement posted a notice on the door of the salon Monday stating that anyone trying to enter the building would be trespassing.

With the landlord taking back possession of the store, that means no more time under the sun lamps for the guy who helped coin the Jersey Shore catchphrase GTL - gym, tan, laundry.

Maybe Sorrentino. also known as Sitch, didn't get the memo though.

Just hours before the notice was placed on the salon window, he posted a photo on Twitter of himself shirtless and posing in front of one of his tanning beds.

According to TMZ, Sorrentino fell behind on his rent and after his landlord took him to court, The Situation agreed to pay about $32,000 to the landlord in installments of $5,5000.

TMZ reports that the Jersey Shore star failed to pay the first installment due on January 15 and the landlord took action to evict him.

It's been less than a year since Sorrentino, who was an assistant manager at a gym before finding fame, opened the Boca Tanning Club.

The salon's closure is just the latest in a series of dramas that have dogged the reality star.

The 32-year-old was charged with assault after a June 15 fight with his brother Frank at the salon in an argument over how the business should be run.

At a July court appearance, he was ordered to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes.

Then last September he was accused of tax evasion for allegedly failing to pay taxes on $8.9 million of earnings. The case is pending. 

The MTV reality show Jersey Shore, filmed in Seaside heights, ran from 2010 to 2012. The cast was known for a love of tanning and for a rowdy, partying lifestyle that resulted in some cast members getting in fights and others facing legal troubles for alcohol-related incidents.

Mike has two older brothers, Frank and Marc and a younger sister Melissa.

Marc also serves as The Situation's manager and partner in MPS Entertainment.
