Aguero’s best foot forward

Sergio Aguero may have been unable to fire Argentina to glory in last Sunday’s World Cup final but he is poised to be back to his lethal best in the new Premier League season.

As always with the PUMA Speed silo, every detail of the new boot was designed with velocity in mind. Maintaining the use of lightweight materials, the new boot is extra light and flexible, which provides enhanced manoeuvrability and makes it the perfect choice for quick strikers and midfielders. The new upper with its super thin microfiber finishing offers additional grip, control and touch for the ball.

One further innovation of the new evoSPEED 1.3 is the redesigned support system with its external midfoot cage that enables stability for quick turns and kicks. This visibly new system alongside a new optimised footbed offer a snug fit for the player, so the boot strikes a perfect balance between speed and comfort. Finally, the boot features a redesigned eye-catching PUMA wording on the lateral side, which finishes up the great new look.

But that is not all from PUMA, as they have also introduced the evoPOWER, their most powerful football boot, in a new and even more visible colourway that will be difficult to miss in the upcoming season. 

The eye-catching yellow and purple boot provides extra power and accuracy when kicking the ball and will be worn by Mario Balotelli, Cesc Fabregas, Olivier Giroud, Nemanja Matic, and many others from now.

First launched in January, PUMA’s evoPOWER took its inspiration from the freedom of movement of a barefoot when kicking a ball.  It is designed to enhance a player’s natural kicking ability, and optimise a player’s power and accuracy when striking the ball. The upper stretches longitudinally and not laterally, which, combined with a stability frame that features a spine, allows the foot to move more freely in two directions.

With lightweight foam applied underneath the upper material, the boot provides a cleaner kicking surface that helps to increase shot and pass accuracy.
