Jake Pavelka has admitted that he was "disappointed" by the way he was treated by his former fiancée Vienna Girardi on Bachelor Pad.

Girardi and Pavelka became engaged on the season finale of The Bachelor's 14th run last year but announced their split a few months later. However, they then reunited on The Bachelor Pad this season, along with Girardi's current boyfriend Kasey Kahl.

Speaking to host Chris Harrison during the season finale of Bachelor Pad, Pavelka admitted that the experience was not quite what he was expecting but that he thought joining the show was his only way to make amends with Girardi once and for all and provide them with closure.

"I went in with no expectations of how bad it could get. I tried to be ready for everything so I had no expectations whatsoever. [Vienna was] just cold as ice. I tried to be warm and genuine but there were really just no words," he explained.

"There was an attempt [to contact her prior to the show]. The calls weren't accepted. Over the course of the year, there were several attempts and there was no reciprocation on the other end.

"I kind of felt like the break-up was quite profitable for Vienna and taking the olive branch that I wanted to extend would have changed her career path a bit and keeping it alive was lucrative. I had to make the move by coming on The Bachelor Pad to get to Vienna."

Pavelka also expressed his frustration at Girardi's attempt to demonise him on TV, admitting that he takes "great offense" to being called a bad person.

"It's absolutely not true. You saw who I was on The Bachelor. I had my heart handed to me in front of America about a year ago and I had a weak moment. You don't talk to women like that, you don't do that. I was wrong," he said.

"America and Vienna and the rest of the cast got to see who I really was on the Bachelor Pad and if that makes me look like a bad guy then I guess I am. Vienna was not kind, not at all. It was cold from both Kasey and Vienna the entire way through. In watching, I've been really disappointed in both of them and their actions. Wanting to punch me for America? Really? Do you think that's the appropriate thing to say?"

Kahl also apologised for his aggression towards Pavelka, revealing that while he wanted to protect Girardi as his girlfriend, he should not have been so judgmental without giving him a chance.

"I first of all, watching back, am understanding that there's always two sides to a story and I never got to hear your side. I would like to formally apologise for some of the things that I did say," Kahl said.

"That's not the way I act and I can look at that now and realise that I'm a fool because I don't act like that. If you thought that I was cold to you, I'm sorry."

However, Girardi insisted that the Bachelor Pad experience with Pavelka was not all negative, saying: "Jake and I weren't fighting the same time. We did play charades and he fell off the chair.

"There were so many moments - good moments - that people don't get to see. I think the three times that we talked, or attempted to talk, were the hostile times. The majority of the time we're all drinking and hanging out and having fun. It was just the key points that were the hot spots."
