Kevin Feige has revealed, via an interview with IGN, that the "one sequel, one new character" model may be something that Marvel Studios sticks with going forward into phase 3.

This model is a pattern that the studios has fallen into with this year's release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the upcoming introduction of a whole new team of characters in Guardians of the Galaxy. Next year will have a similar set up for the studio, with the Avengers returning in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Scott Lang and Hank Pym making their debuts in Ant-Man. Following that, we know that Captain America 3 is set for a May 2016 release, with an unnamed film set to follow that July.

"[Guardians of the Galaxy] fulfilled our desire to do something different," Feige explained, "to start producing, each year, a film that was the sequel to a pre-existing, successful franchise and do something new. We're doing that next year with Age of Ultron, with Ant-Man, and hope to maybe continue that model in the coming years."

It sounds like the studio hasn't fully committed to the idea just yet, but if Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man both do well at the box office, it seems likely this would encourage Marvel to stick with it.
