EDINBURG TOWNSHIP, Portage County—The Portage County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an early morning fight that claimed a man’s life.
Deputies were called to the area of Giddings Road and SR 183 in Edinburg Township just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
According to authorities, 26-year-old Kyle R. Fox and Christopher A. Kiehl, 25, were attending a gathering at a home when they started fighting.
Portage County Sheriff David W. Doak said in a news release that during the dispute Fox was shot and killed. Kiehl was taken into custody and charged with murder.
Christopher Kiehl is being held in the Portage County Jail without bond. He is due in court Monday.
The investigation remains ongoing.
