We've got exclusive scoop on Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's unique baby name!

The hunky actor and gorgeous actress welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, just a few weeks ago. And just yesterday, E! News confirmed that Mendes and Gosling named their bouncing bundle of joy Esmeralda Amada Gosling. So what's the meaning behind Esmeralda Amada?

A source tells E! News the cute couple picked the name because it means "beautiful emerald" in Spanish. Additionally, Mendes wanted first and middle names that represented her Hispanic heritage since their daughter has Gosling's surname.

"Amada" in Spanish can also mean beloved, adored and dear. Coincidentally, Mendes also played a character named Amada Juarez in the 2007 film We Own the Night. During filming, Mendes even asked director James Gray if he'd change her character's name to honor her late grandmother, whom she never met. "I have a feeling that I am so like her, I feel like we're connected," Mendes has said of her grandma.

A source close to Mendes and Gosling also tells E! that the actors are loving parenthood. "They've settled so well into their new family of three," the insider dished. "Ryan is very hands on and has been taking the baby after the early morning feed so Eva can sleep in a bit. He sings the baby songs—they are both madly in love with this child."

Another source recently told us, "They're both great, but exhausted. They know it's going to be a little while before the baby adjusts to a schedule."

"Eva is so happy she's a mom, their baby girl is perfect," they added. "They are at home now with the baby and Eva is feeling great she says."
