ADA to Distro Mascot Label Group in North America

The Alternative Distribution Alliance has signed a North America distribution deal with the Mascot Label Group and its 600-album catalog.

The Alternative Distribution Alliance has signed a North America distribution deal with the Mascot Label Group and its 600-album catalog. The deal deepends the relationship between the two companies, as ADA has already been distributing the Mascot Label Group in Great Britian, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia.

The other imprints of the Mascot Label Group are: Provogue Records Music Theories Recordings and Cool Green Recordings. Artists who have issued records through the label include Volbeat, Robert Cray, Beth Hart, Flying Colors, Walter Trout and new signing JJ Grey. Artists signed to Mascot Label Group for Europe include Joe Bonamassa, Gov’t Mule & Warren Haynes, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Black Label Society and others.

“Over the course of five years, Mascot Label Group and ADA have accomplished a lot together,” ADA UK president Dan Chalmers said in a statement. “At this point, we understand each other’s business so well that we’re very well positioned to take things to the next level, and it gives me great pleasure to watch our relationship flourish across the pond and beyond.”

Mascot, which previously was distributed in the U.S. by Megaforce, says it has U.S. volume of $3 million and global sales of $12 million. The company is expanding its position in North America with more artist signings, bringing aboard key executive talent. The new alliance with ADA will help the company to execute its plan here.

“With our talent, our own staff, and strategic partnerships, we are now entering a new phase in North America,” Mascot Label Group founder and chairman Ed Van Zijl said in a statement.
