PINE PLAINS >> A 28-year-old Kingston man died after a one-car rollover accident on state Route 199, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Jeffrey J. D’Aguilar was eastbound in 2005 Honda Civic about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control of the car, causing it to overturn near Mount Ross Road, the Sheriff’s Office said. He was not wearing a seat belt and was partly ejected from the vehicle, deputies said.

Emergency responders found D’Aguilar unconscious and suffering from life-threatening injuries and took him to Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, where he was pronounced dead, the Sheriff’s Office said.

No one else was in the car.

The Sheriff’s Office said its Crash Investigation Unit found driver inattention might have been a factor in the accident.
