New Netflix Instant Releases — June 2014

Summer has arrived, which means you're going to want to stay indoors more often, which means more time with your good ol' friend Netflix Instant. There's tons of new content hitting the service this month, from old classics to new favorites, and yes, the new season of 'Orange Is the New Black'! Read on for our guide to the best new Netflix Instant releases coming in June 2014.

June 1

'The Adventures of Milo and Otis' (1989) -- Starring Dudley Moore. The adventures of a young cat and a dog as they find themselves accidentally separated and each swept into a hazardous trek.

'Apocalypse Now' (1979) -- Starring Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, and Robert Duvall. During the U.S.-Viet Nam War, Captain Willard is sent on a dangerous mission into Cambodia to assassinate a renegade colonel who has set himself up as a god among a local tribe.

'Barbershop' (2002) -- Starring Ice Cube, Anthony Anderson, and Cedric the Entertainer. A day in the life of a South Side Chicago barbershop.

'The Believer' (2001) -- Starring Ryan Gosling, Summer Phoenix, and Pete Meadows. A young Jewish man develops a fiercely anti-Semitic worldview. Based on the true story of a KKK member in the 1960s who was revealed to be Jewish by a New York Times reporter.

'Better Than Chocolate' (1999) -- Starring Wendy Crewson, Karyn Dwyer, and Christina Cox. A drama centered around the relationship between a lesbian couple that becomes exceedingly complex when the mother of one of them moves in, and another befriends a transsexual.

'Blood and Chocolate' (2007) -- Starring Agnes Bruckner, Hugh Dancy, and Olivier Martinez. A young teenage werewolf is torn between honoring her family's secret and her love for a man.

'Carrie' (1976) -- Starring Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie, and Amy Irving. A young, abused and timid 17-year-old girl discovers she has telekinesis, and gets pushed to the limit on the night of her school's prom by a humiliating prank.

'The Chorus' (2004) -- Starring Gerard Jugnot, Francois Berleand, and Jean-Baptiste Maunier. The new teacher at a severely administered boys' boarding school works to positively effect the students' lives through music.

'Clear and Present Danger' (1994) -- Starring Harrison Ford, Willem Dafoe, and Anne Archer. CIA Analyst Jack Ryan is drawn into an illegal war fought by the US government against a Colombian drug cartel.

'Cold Mountain' (2003) -- Starring Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, and Renee Zellweger. In the waning days of the American Civil War, a wounded soldier embarks on a perilous journey back home to Cold Mountain, North Carolina to reunite with his sweetheart.

'The Craft' (1996) -- Starring Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, and Neve Campbell. A newcomer to a Catholic prep high school falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft and they all soon conjure up various spells and curses against those who even slightly anger them.

'Dance With Me' (1998) -- Starring Vanessa Williams, Chayanne, and Kris Kristofferson. After losing his mother, Rafael travels from Cuba to Houston to meet his father for the first time, where he discovers that the old man runs a dance studio, and Rafael might be the key to helping him win a championship.

'Duplex' (2003) -- Starring Ben Stiller, Drew Barrymore, and Eileen Essell. A young couple has a chance to move into a gorgeous duplex in the perfect New York neighborhood. All they have to do is bump off the current tenant, a cute little old lady.

'El Dorado' (1966) -- Starring John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, and James Caan. Cole Thornton, a gunfighter for hire, joins forces with an old friend, Sheriff J.P. Hara. Together with an old Indian fighter and a gambler, they help a rancher and his family fight a rival rancher that is trying to steal their water.

'Ever After: A Cinderella Story' (1998) -- Starring Drew Barrymore, Anjelica Huston, and Dougray Scott. The "real" story of Cinderella. A refreshing new take on the classic fairy tale.

'First Knight' (1995) -- Starring Sean Connery, Richard Gere, and Julia Ormond. Lancelot falls in love with Guinevere, who is due to be married to King Arthur. Meanwhile, a violent warlord tries to seize power from Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.

'Funny Lady' (1975) -- Starring Barbra Streisand, James Caan, and Omar Sharif. Story of singer Fanny Brice's stormy relationship with showman Billy Rose.

'Harriet the Spy' (1996) -- Starring Michelle Trachtenberg, Rosie O'Donnell, and Gregory Smith. Harriet M. Welsch is a spy. But when Harriet's friends find her secret notebook the tables are turned on her. Can she win her friends back and still keep on going with the spy business?

'I.Q.' (1994) -- Starring Tim Robbins, Meg Ryan, and Walter Matthau. Albert Einstein helps a young man who's in love with Einstein's niece to catch her attention by pretending temporarily to be a great physicist.

'I'll Sleep When I'm Dead' (2003) -- Starring Clive Owen, Malcolm McDowell, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. A gangster comes out of retirement to investigate the mysterious death of his brother.

'Iron Monkey' (1993) -- Starring Rongguang Yu, Donnie Yen, and Jean Wang. A martial artist/doctor steals from the corrupt authorities as a masked thief to give to the poor while another martial artist/doctor is forced to hunt him down. But a major threat unites them as a powerful and traitorous Shaolin monk takes over the authorities.

'Julia' (1977) -- Starring Jane Fonda, Vanessa Redgrave, and Jason Robards. At the behest of an old and dear friend, playwright Lillian Hellman undertakes a dangerous mission to smuggle funds into Nazi Germany.

'Lady Vengeance' (2005) -- Starring Yeong-ae Lee, Min-sik Choi, and Shi-hoo Kim. After serving time in prison for the kidnap and murder of a young boy, Geum-ja Lee finds work in a bakery, orders a specially-manufactured weapon, and plots revenge against the real criminal responsible for the boy's death.

'Left Behind: The Movie' (2000) -- Starring Kirk Cameron, Brad Johnson, and Chelsea Noble. When 100 million people vanish from earth, Global News Network reporter Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron) follows the mystery as pilot Ray Steele tries to locate his wife and son. As he digs deeper, he finds that the answers may lie in the Bible. Based on the best-selling novel by Christian evangelist Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, Left Behind is a chilling look at the chaos that follows Judgment Day.

'Loser' (2000) -- Starring Jason Biggs, Mena Suvari, and Zak Orth. A college student, branded a loser by his roommates and booted from the dorm, falls in love with a coed who has eyes for their condescending professor.

'The Mean Season' (1985) -- Starring Kurt Russell, Mariel Hemingway, and Richard Jordan. Just as reporter Malcolm Anderson promises his girlfriend he'll quit writing about murders, he receives a series of phone calls from the murder suspect in his latest article promising that the murders will continue, and giving Malcolm no choice but to keep writing.

'Mission: Impossible 3' (2006) -- Starring Tom Cruise, Michelle Monaghan, and Ving Rhames. Ethan Hunt comes face to face with a dangerous and sadistic arms dealer while trying to keep his identity secret in order to protect his girlfriend.

'My Baby's Daddy' (2004) -- Starring Eddie Griffin, Anthony Anderson, and Michael Imperioli. A trio of young men are forced to grow up quick when their girlfriends all become pregnant around the same time.

'Nanking' (2007) -- This documentary explores the invasion of China by Japanese soldiers in 1937, leaving 200,000 citizens killed and tens of thousands sexually assaulted. Amidst this terrifying ordeal, a group of Western expat soldiers came together to save 250,000 lives.

'Oldboy' (2003) -- Starring Min-sik Choi, Ji-tae Yu, and Hye-jeong Kang. After being kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years, Oh Dae-Su is released, only to find that he must find his captor in 5 days.

'Picture Perfect' (1997) -- Starring Jennifer Aniston, Jay Mohr, and Kevin Bacon. A young advertising executive's life becomes increasingly complicated when, in order to impress her boss, she pretends to be engaged to a man she has just met.

'Popeye' (1980) -- Starring Robin Williams, Shelley Duvall, and Ray Walston. The sailor man travels to a seaside town called Sweethaven, falls in love with Olive Oyl, adopts Swee'pea, and makes an enemy of Bluto.

'Reign Over Me' (2007) -- Starring Adam Sandler, Don Cheadle, and Jada Pinkett Smith. A man who lost his family in the September 11 attack on New York City runs into his old college roommate. Rekindling the friendship is the one thing that appears able to help the man recover from his grief.

'The Returned' (2013) -- Starring Emily Hampshire, Kris Holden-Ried, and Shawn Doyle. In a post-zombie world, where the infected live normal lives, their retroviral drug is running out.

Bennie's discovery of his brother's near-finished play might hold the answer to understanding their shared past and renewing their bond.

'Trailer Park Boys Live in F---in' Dublin' (2014) -- Starring John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells, and Mike Smith. The boys head to Ireland after winning a contest to see Rush but are arrested by immigration and must perform a community service puppet show.

'Trailer Park Boys: Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys' (2010) -- Starring John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells, and John Dunsworth. It has been one year since the boys have become rich. Julian decided to keep the money safe, but when it comes time for everyone to get their share, the money is lost forever.

'The Triplets of Belleville' (2003) -- Starring Michele Caucheteux, Jean-Claude Donda, and Michel Robin. When her grandson is kidnapped during the Tour de France, Madame Souza and her beloved pooch Bruno team up with the Belleville Sisters -- an aged song-and-dance team from the days of Fred Astaire -- to rescue him.

'Wayne's World' (1992) -- Starring Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, and Rob Lowe. Two slacker friends try to promote their public-access cable show.

'We Were Soldiers' (2002) -- Starring Mel Gibson, Madeleine Stowe, and Greg Kinnear. The story of the first major battle of the American phase of the Vietnam War and the soldiers on both sides that fought it.

'Sherlock: Season 3' (2014) -- Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, and Una Stubbs. A modern update finds the famous sleuth and his doctor partner solving crime in 21st century London.

'Devil's Knot' (2013) -- Starring Dane DeHaan, Reese Witherspoon, and Colin Firth. The savage murders of three young children sparks a controversial trial of three teenagers accused of killing the kids as part of a satanic ritual.

'The Glades: Season 4' (2013) -- Starring Matt Passmore, Kiele Sanchez, and Carlos Gomez. Abrasive homicide detective Jim Longworth hopes to massage his recently bruised ego by moving from Chicago to Florida's Everglades, but a new romantic relationship and the unusually high murder rate thwart his plans for relaxing on the golf course.
