'I got zero warning': Selena Gomez's mother Mandy Teefey says she was 'blindsided when superstar daughter fired her as manager'
Selena Gomez is reported to have fired her parents as her management team last week.
And now her mother Mandy Teefey claims that the firing came as a surprise to both her and Selena's stepfather Brian, according to new reports.
Mandy is alleged to be reeling from the dismissal as she is said to have only found out about her superstar daughter seeking more professional representation through the press.

TMZ claims that the singer only discussed the firing with her parents after reports emerged online that she was seeking new management.
Mandy told the gossip website that she is still reeling from the news and had thought Selena was still in the decision making process before the reports were published.
The 21-year-old actress' career has been overseen by her mother Mandy since her big break on Disney show Wizards Of Waverly Place.

Initially, sources told TMZ last week that Selena fired her mother and stepfather in March, and that the move was permanent.
The source said: 'Selena feels she's outgrown her parents.'
However while Selena has argued with her parents about the direction of her career, family friction is not believed to be behind the move.

The move comes after Selena renewed her relationship with her bad boy ex Justin Bieber.

Her parents were said to be 'vehemently opposed' to the reunion.
According to RadarOnline, the Come & Get It hitmaker's mother and stepfather, Brian Teefey, believed the couple's break-up was the catalyst for her recent rehab stint, with a source saying: 'They're doing their best to supervise them.'
However, they have a limited say in Selena's life, with the source adding: 'They don’t have any control over her. She's pulling the, "Who makes the money around here?" card.'
Selena admitted to Dawn At The Meadows recovery centre in Arizona on January 5, spending two weeks at the facility which treats people aged 18 to 26 years old who are 'struggling with emotional trauma, addiction or dual diagnosis concerns'.
Her representative told the MailOnline: 'Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but NOT for substance abuse.'
Her mother was just 16 when Selena was born and raised her as a single parent after divorcing her father Carlos when she was five.
The two moved to California from Texas so Selena could pursue her career as a child star - which pair off when she won her first role.
Selena starred alongside Demi Lovato on kid's favourite Barney & Friends back in 2002, when she was just nine years old.
