They look friendly! Mickey Rourke cuddles up to hairdresser pal as he heads home after leisurely lunch in Beverly Hills

He is famously popular with the ladies.

But Mickey Rourke proved that he's got room in his life for a bit of bromance too, as he left a leisurely lunch with his arms around a macho hairdresser chum in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The pair looked like they were having a great time as they sauntered out of the posh Cafe Roma eatery in well-heeled Beverly Hills.

The beefcake actor towered over his diminutive barber sidekick Giuseppe Franco as they headed back to their cars following their slap-up meal.

They were even wearing complimenting outfits, with the Nine And A Half Weeks hunk dressed all in white, while his cohort was wearing black.

One area his pint-sized pal could not compete was in the hair stakes, for while he had an impressive spiked barnet, it was left in the shade by the sexy 62-year-old's impressive wig.

The grey hairpiece round simply added the finishing touch to what was already an eye-catching ensemble however.

It was not long before Mickey, who was carrying a bottle of trendy designer mineral water, had waved his friend goodbye so he could head on his merry way.

The former professional boxer raised eyebrows after buying a T-shirt bearing the image of fellow hardman Vladimir Putin in Russia last month.

He wore the controversial number after joining hundreds of people at Moscow's up-scale department store GUM.

'I like this guy,' the Moscow Times reported Mickey said of the Russian President, citing local news agency Interfax.

Mickey explained on The Tonight Show that he bought the T-shirt because it was being sold with Putin's blessing to raise money for an operation for a sick Ukrainian boy.
