Katheryne Agnes Haines, 94, of Marion, fell asleep in death Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, after a sudden illness.
"Kay" is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ann Haines of Minneapolis; her granddaughters, Kristine and Kari Haines; and great-grandsons, Jaedyn Patterson and Caleb and Evan Hanson, also of Minneapolis. Kay also is survived by her nephews, Alan (Roberta) Blair of Marion, Roger (Barbara) Blair of Guanajuato, Mexico, (David) Madsen of Imlay City, Mich., Kevin (Karen) Blair of Chicago and Jerry (Linda) Blair of Wallkill, N.Y.; nieces, Kandra Muno of Cedar Rapids and (Margie) Blair of Seffner, Fla.; and nine grandnieces and grandnephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her son, David Haines; her granddaughter, Heidi Rae Haines; her siblings, Carl, Garland, George and Willis Blair; her nephew, Paul Blair; and her niece, Shirley Madsen.
Memorial services for Kay will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7121 Mount Vernon Rd. SE, Cedar Rapids.
