Danny Glover rants at TV news anchor after she hurries him during live interview... and then gets cut mid-sentence

He's an acclaimed actor in Hollywood with a resume of well-known films and TV appearances.

But Danny Glover was not given the respect he thought he was owed when TV anchor Tori Campbell - from his native San Francisco -  cancelled his interview midway through a live satellite feed due to shortage of time.

The 68-year-old actor tried to raise awareness for the American Postal Workers' Union, however was cut off less than a minute into the conversation prompting him to yell: 'I'm not somebody moved to the wayside!'

Danny had appeared on his local affiliate station KTVU from Washington DC to talk about APWU’s National Day Of Action to protest US Postal Service cutbacks and delays in mail service.

What started cordially, quickly turned into a confrontation.

The interview began with the Lethal Weapon star having a beaming smile on his face when anchor Campbell described his back story and how he comes from a family of postal workers.

'You made me smile when you said I come from a family of postal employees,' he gushed in the beginning.

Do you know I am? 'Just don't give me two minutes. I'm from San Francisco and Oakland, that's the least you could have done is given me more time. I'm not somebody whose moved to the wayside'

But seconds later, the reporter abruptly interrupted his family storytelling: 'Alright Mr. Glover, we're almost out of time.'

A shocked and confused Glover quickly turned his smile upside down and refuted her statement.

'Well you should've given me more time, that's the first thing. Why don't you go on, if you don't have enough time don't bother!' he retorted.

Noticeably upset, Danny made his final comments: 'I think it's something important for the public to know, they are the losers in this process and in a democracy their voices have to be heard in this.'

The satellite feed was then promptly cut. 

The star has long been an outspoken activist about labor and race issues.

Glover's history of union activism includes support for the United Farm Workers, Unite Here and numerous service unions within Northern California and the rest of the country.
