Natalie Portman hit the red carpet with her dancer and choreographer husband Benjamin Millepied at the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony Wednesday. The couple walked hand-in-hand, with the actress wearing a red gown. They both posed for photos.

The “Black Swan” actress' directorial debut, titled “A Tale of Love and Darkness,” played as an official selection of the festival. The couple arrived at the French Riviera for the screening of “La Tete Haute,” Mirror UK reported. Benjamin was dressed in black suit, matching tie and white shirt for the opening night.

Natalie’s strapless dress featured a sweetheart neckline and side split. The simple and elegant dress is from Dior Couture. The form-fitting gown showed off her svelte frame. The 33-year-old actress accessorized her look with large diamond earrings, matching cocktail ring and a red and golden colored bracelet.

Portman's brown locks were styled in soft waves behind her ears. Keeping her makeup minimal with a hint of gloss on her lips, she posed alongside her husband. She completed her look in black ankle strap high heel sandals. Natalie’s white diamond Gocce Earrings were by Swiss luxury jeweler de Grisogono. The details were shared on the jeweler’s official Instagram. Dior shared the details of Natalie’s gown on its official Instagram, adding that Benjamin was dressed in Dior Homme.

Benjamin and Natalie met on the set of her 2010 movie “The Black Swan,” for which she went on to win the Best Actress Oscar. Her husband worked on the movie as the lead choreographer. The actress will next star in “Planetarium,” alongside Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily Rose Depp.

The duo will play spiritualist sisters who are believed to possess the supernatural ability to connect with ghosts. It is a 1930s-set drama to be directed by French director Rebecca Zlotowski. It will mark her first collaboration with a French director since her role in the 1994 Luc Besson’s flick “Leon.”
