Texas A&M AgriLife hosting farm bill meetings
Meetings set in a half-dozen South Plains towns
A series of meetings are set to help producers decide which policies to seek under the new farm bill.
The free meetings are hosted by Texas A&M Agri-Life Extension Service, the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Farm Service Agency, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and various commodity groups.
They include:
¦ Bovina - Tuesday, 9 a.m.-noon, Bovina Community Center, 215 North St.
¦ Muleshoe - Tuesday, 1-4 p.m., Bailey County Electric, 610 American Blvd.
¦ Brownfield - Dec. 1, 1-4 p.m., Brownfield Church of Christ Family Life Building, 506 N. Atkins St.
¦ Dimmitt - Dec. 9, 9 a.m.-noon, location to be announced
¦ Lockney - Dec. 19, 9 a.m.-noon, Floyd County Friends Unity Center, 990 FM 786
¦ Crosbyton - Dec. 19, 1-4 p.m., AgriLife Extension office, 201 W. Aspen St.
