The Staten island Finest split a pair of games at the Staten Island Musketeers Showcase AAU tournament Saturday.
Gerard Novello scored 20 points, including going 3 for 3 from the foul line in the last minute, as the Finest nipped the Brooklyn Patriots, 48-47. The Finest suffered a 68-48 loss in the second game.

HOLMDEL, N.J. -- The 5th-grade Diamonds won two games in the Central Jersey Hawks Tournament. They beat the NJ Cardinals, 28-13,in the opener behind Jules Laguna's 13 points and six points from Ashley Schmitt.
The Diamonds beat a second N.J. Cardinal team, 49-11, in the nightcap, behind 18 points from Jules Laguna, 10 points from Chelsea Inbengbu and Jamie Strahm's excellent defense.
In 8th-grade action, the S.I. Diamonds went 2-0 as well. Sophia Demauro and Arianna Smith combined for 24 points in a 44-32 Diamonds' win over the CJ Cardinals.
Emily Lapointe and Brooke Diaz's collective 21 points pushed the Diamonds past the Jersey Warriors, 58-42.

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Anthony Clemenza and Jaheim Tanksley teamed for 23 as the NY/NJ Bulldogs bested NJC Elite 47-27 in the NJ Bulldog League.

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- Oliver Naumov had 12 points and Joe Riccardelli excelled defensively as the S.I. Stingrays topped the NY Extreme Hoops, 62-44, and went 2-0 in U-13 action at the Hudson River Hornets Tournament.
Justin Zieris's 14 points led the Stingrays to a 51-29 win over the Monroe Crusaders in game one.

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Anthony Loscalzo and Ryan Rochio teamed for 26 points as the S.I. Stingrays downed GSA to finish 1-1 on the day in U-11 play at the Zero Gravity Tournament.
Lou Gelormino scored 15 points in a losing effort as the Stingrays fell to Castle Athletics, 60-47, in game one.
