Eva Longoria has suggested that Newark mayor Cory Booker could someday become US president.
Booker has emerged as one of the Democratic Party's rising stars, with a nomination in the upcoming election for one of New Jersey's US Senate seats.
Longoria - a prominent Democratic Party advocate - recently told Extra that she supports Booker's political platform.
"I think he's going to be a future president of the United States. I just believe in him so much and his stance on everything," she declared.
Longoria went on to say: "He's dynamic, and he's very personally involved in everything he does.
"He puts his phone number on Twitter so people can call him directly if there's a pipeline broken. The way he's accessible to his constituents is really mind-blowing."
The former Desperate Housewives actress served as a co-chair for US President Barack Obama's re-election campaign in 2012, and also spoke at the Democratic National Convention.
