Thomas Bryant considering Syracuse, Indiana
Former Bishop Kearney basketball forward Thomas Bryant will play college basketball at Syracuse University or Indiana, according to his mother.
"We're down to two schools,'' Linda Bryant said.
Bryant, a 6-foot-10 senior at a prep school in West Virginia, made official recruiting visits to Syracuse, Indiana and Missouri this fall. The two-time Democrat and Chronicle All-Greater Rochester Team member also watched a recent Kentucky game at Rupp Arena with two of his teammates at Huntington Prep.
"He said that he doesn't want to do the other visits,'' Linda Bryant said. "We're going to decide in the spring.
"We have to see. We know that he will get a scholarship, but we have to see who is leaving, what class is coming in, where does he fit in at his position and what he wants to do (for a major).''
