Hollis man arrested on child abuse complaints

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a Hollis man has been arrested after his daughter was taken in critical condition to the hospital. According to the OSBI, 21-year-old Ricky Garcia was arrested on one count of child abuse Friday morning. According to the OSBI, on Sunday a 5-month-old girl was taken to the Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis by her mother. Due to the severity of her injuries, the young girl was then flown to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and then to OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City. According to the doctors that treated the young girl, she had multiple bruises on her head and body, a fractured right arm and left leg and retinal hemorrhages. Witnesses who were inside the Hollis apartment when the child sustained the injury told investigators the child's father was the only one who had contact with the girl when the abuse occurred. Garcia was booked into the Harmon County Jail. His bond was set at $500,000.
