Watch: War Is First-Person Shooter The New Trailer Andrew Niccol's 'Good Kill' Starring Ethan Hawke

If Ethan Hawke‘s cool, Beatles-loving Dad from “Boyhood” made a few different decisions in his life, he might’ve ended up as the character in “Good Kill.” And the questions around his career and duty to this country are the backbone of the latest drama from Andrew Niccol (“Gattaca,” “Lord Of War“) and a new trailer has arrived today.

Co-starring January Jones, Bruce Greenwood and Zoe Kravitz, the story follows an Air Force major acclimating to the new ways of war, conducting missions overseas with drones, all from the safety of piloting them from U.S. soil. But when war is a “first-person shooter,” how do you live with life-or-death decisions made by your index finger? It’s a film with timely subject matter, and a decent cast, and while our own Oli Lyttelton had issues with it when he caught it at the Venice Film Festival, you still might want to target this one yourself.

“Good Kill” opens in the U.K. on April 10th, and will be released by IFC Films in the U.S. No date has been set yet. Watch below.
