Is my i5 4460 good for gaming with a 980 TI ?

Solution
i5 Vs i7 in gaming is not a valid Argument, they make no difference unless using the Integrated Intel Graphics, i7 Can only come in handy during game when Hyper threading is made use of (Such as watch dogs) i7 is only useful for tasks such as rendering and video editing. Get the i5, and if necessary overclock it (Assuming you have a K version). And no, there is no chance than the i5 will bottleneck any of your GPUs or other systems.

You are not going to get a performance boost worth the money going with that i7 chip. Not in gaming anyway. You'll maybe see a few FPS difference. Save your money and wait a couple of years for some new technology to come out. You're still good for a while with what you have.
