The Season 12, Episode 22 airing of "NCIS" finds the gang frantically trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the mysterious killing of a Navy Warfare engineer and the return of Ellie Bishop's long lost husband.

According to CarterMatt, Jamie Bamber is slated to star in "Troll" as Jake Malloy, Bishop's (Emily Wickersham) NSA attorney husband. Matt Jones also returns as Special Agent Ned Dorneget and is expected to aid the team with their investigation into the murder of a Navy Intelligence Officer.

Spoiler TV also reports the episode features an "emotional" Gibbs (Mark Harmon) sympathizing and dealing with homeless vets in the Nation's Capital. Right around the same time, Abby (Pauley Perrette) feverishly tries to help a homeless woman reconnect with her family.

Meanwhile, Jake and Gibbs grow noticeably closer and the impact it could have on their working relationship remains to be seen. The last several episodes have spelled constant change for the gang, with CarterMatt previously reporting last week's "Lost in Translation" show was highlighted by DiNozzo's (Michael Weatherly) growing resentment for McGee (Sean Murray) after he is selected to be the new face of "NCIS" recruitment.

In the "No Good Deed" episode that aired the week before, Tony opened up about his feelings for ATF Special Agent girlfriend Zoe Keates, sharing with Gibbs that as he was convinced their relationship had outgrown the honeymoon phase. Zoe mistakenly overheard him over the radio when he failed to mute it and later admits to him just how much she wants their union to work.

After a one-week hiatus, the "Troll" episode will air on April 29 on CBS. The show is written by series veteran Scott Williams and directed by Dennis Smith.
