Enterprise's Seaway Crude Oil Pipeline Phase II Starts Work, Phase III Progresses

Enterprise

SUGAR LAND--November 1, 2012--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In June, the old Seaway pipeline, which transported roughly 350,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) of crude oil from Texas City, Texas, to Cushing, Oklahoma, the self-proclaimed "Pipeline Crossroads of the World," began service in the opposite direction. Currently, the Seaway pipeline transports roughly 150,000 BBL/d of crude oil from Cushing to Enterprise's Freeport Terminal in Freeport, Texas. The heavily-publicized reversal of the pipeline is only the first step of three. The pipeline is owned and operated by a 50:50 joint venture of Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE:EPD) (Houston) and Enbridge Incorporated (NYSE:ENB) (Calgary, Canada).
