Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne take loss on side-by-side homes in Hollywood Hills

The second of two partially remodeled houses in Hollywood Hills West owned by Osbourne family members has sold for $2.25 million -- $100,000 less than they paid for it eight years ago.

Held in the names of parental units Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, the property was reported to be daughter Aimee Osbourne’s home.

Set on less than a quarter-acre, the boxy contemporary features three bedrooms, three bathrooms and 2,038 square feet of living space.

Sister Kelly Osbourne’s larger place next door sold a week earlier for $2 million. That 1961 contemporary has 2,538 square feet of living space and had been purchased nine years earlier for $2.125 million.

Both houses, which were priced at $1.999 million each, have backyard swimming pools, spas and two-car garages.

Patriarch Ozzy Osbourne, 66, is the lead vocalist and a cofounder of the heavy metal group Black Sabbath, which was formed in 1968. The singer-songwriter has also had a solo career.

Sharon Osbourne, 62, is his manager. She has been a cohost on “The Talk” since 2010.

Singer Aimee Osbourne, 31, in March released her new single “Raining Gold.” If you don’t recall her from the family reality show “The Osbournes,” which aired for three years starting in 2002, it’s because she declined to be in it.

Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, was the listing agent. Kirk Hoffman of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties represented the buyer.
