AlarmForce Reports a 7% Increase in RMR for 2014

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec 18, 2014) - AlarmForce Industries Inc. (AF.TO) today reported that for the fiscal year end 2014 recurring revenue, which made up 93% of total revenue, was $48.5 million, up 8% compared to the same period last year. Recurring revenue growth was primarily driven by an increase in AlarmForce's organic average revenue per new subscriber, which rose 7% over last year to $32.48.

Mr. Anthony Pizzonia, President and CEO, indicated that "Recurring revenue was driven by the take-rates of our enhanced service offerings that include VideoRelay, CellWave, and now AlarmForceConnect. While 57% of new subscribers added CellWave in 2014, the penetration of AlarmForceConnect launched in the fourth quarter was at 20% of new subscribers. AlarmForceConnect represents the latest innovation in system interactive services. It allows the subscriber to monitor and control their home security system in real time using a mobile device. The enhanced capabilities of this feature includes remote arming and disarming, receiving email alarm notifications, and viewing system history or system status. When combined with our standard system, it provides convenience and control to stay remotely connected to any home or business."

Total subscribers increased to 144,700 accounts, compared with 141,200 at the end of 2013. Canadian subscribers increased from 107,600 to 108,800, an increase in net subscribers of 1%, and US subscribers increased from 33,600 to 35,900, an increase in net subscribers of 7%. In addition, ARPU grew by 4% to $29.01 from $27.90 in 2013.

He added that "While ARPU for the entire subscriber base increased, ARPU associated with new subscriber additions continues to be higher and will be significant for future growth in recurring monthly revenues. This reflects the company's successful efforts to increase the take rates for add-on services, while continuing to focus our attention on providing the subscriber with an integrated customer experience that will increase the life of the subscriber and reduce customer attrition."
