LONDON — The latest big screen outing for “Sherlock Holmes” is shrouded in as much mystery as one of the great detective’s famous cases but British multihyphenate Stephen Fry has revealed he will play Mycroft Holmes in it.
Fry said he would be joining Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in the second Warner Bros.-backed movie to be directed by Guy Ritchie.
Fry said he was gearing up for his turn in Ritchie’s film on BBC Radio 5 Live over the weekend.
Downey Jr. and Law are both in line to return to the follow-up to the 2009 box office hit.
Shooting is due to start later this year.
