Looking beyond the Bay Area bands, here are five touring acts to catch at the Outside Lands festival:

Lindsey Stirling: The classically trained violinist from Arizona is a crossover sensation who first caught the nation”s attention while competing on the TV show “America”s Got Talent” in 2010. She”s also a YouTube phenomenon, with her dance music-propelled videos garnering over a half-billion views. Stirling also headlines the Greek Theatre in Berkeley on Aug. 8 ($35-$45; www.apeconcerts.com). Details: 3:40 p.m. Aug. 7; Twin Peaks Stage. Listen to: “Crystallize,” “Elements.”

Ryn Weaver: The Southern California indie-pop singer was one of the must-see acts at this year”s South by Southwest music festival in Texas, having created a sizable buzz with her sophisticated single “OctaHate.” Her full-length debut, “The Fool,” came out in June and drew some strong reviews. Details: 4:20 p.m. Aug. 9, Panhandle Stage. Listen to: “OctaHate,” “Promises.”

Lake Street Dive: Definitely don”t miss this Brooklyn-based quartet, which features powerhouse vocalist Rachael Price and performs a wonderful mix of rock, pop, soul, folk and jazz. Details: 1:50 p.m. Aug. 7; Lands End Stage. Listen to: “Bad Self Portraits,” “You Go Down Smooth.”

First Aid Kit: The sister act, consisting of Klara and Johanna Soderberg, is a big hit in its native Sweden, where their last albums hit No. 1 on the charts. The duo”s latest, “Stay Gold,” is a marvelous indie-folk outing. Need further convincing to include First Aid Kit on your Outside Lands itinerary? Hurray for the Riff Raff: This New Orleans folk-blues project might finally get the attention it has long deserved, having inked a deal with ATO Records and released the full-length effort “Small Town Heroes.” Stellar singer-songwriter Alynda Lee Segarra, the driving force behind the band, shines bright on this major label debut.
