Four-star Philadelphia-area small forward Derrick Jones has narrowed his list of potential colleges to five, including the University of Kentucky, his father told ZagsBlog.com.

The 6-foot-6 Jones, who attends Archbishop Carroll High, is down to UK, Auburn, Kansas, Connecticut and UNLV, Derrick Jones Sr. told the site.

Arizona, Louisville, North Carolina and Florida were eliminated from consideration.

Jones, one of the most athletic players in the 2015 class, is rated No. 66 nationally by Scout.com.

Jones has been fairly soft-spoken in discussing where his recruitment stands. He's taken a recent visit to UNLV, and his dad told Zags he'll take more after Nov. 9. Derrick Jones Sr. said UK and KU had been in contact this week.

He was the first small forward in the class to receive a UK offer; five-star players Jaylen Brown and Brandon Ingram have gotten offers since then. Brown and Ingram visited UK officially two weeks ago and seemingly have been higher priorities on the Wildcats' wish list.

Jones is among a big group of undecided seniors considering UK. The others are Brown and Ingram, guards Isaiah Briscoe, Malik Newman and Antonio Blakeney and big men Cheick Diallo, Ivan Rabb, Stephen Zimmerman, Carlton Bragg and Caleb Swanigan.

Briscoe cut his list to UK, UConn and St. John's over the weekend. Rabb just officially visited UK after cutting his list on Friday to the Cats, Cal, UCLA, Kansas and Arizona.
