Timothy B. Schmit has an impressive resume of musical groups, serving as bass guitar player and vocalist for Poco and Ringo Starr’s All Star Band, as well as being a recording session musician for, or touring with, the likes of Bob Seeger, Boz Scaggs, Crosby Stills and Nash and Jimmy Buffet.
He is perhaps best known for his tenure with The Eagles, with whom he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Schmit has also seen success as a solo artist, and his concert at the Strand will feature songs from his fifth and latest album, “Expando.” The album includes a wide range of styles, touching on folk, country and blues as well as traditional rock and roll.
“What I like best about doing solo shows is it gives me a chance to interact with the audience in a smaller, more intimate setting,” says Schmit. “I look forward to taking my own band out on the road and having a completely different experience. I’m a fortunate man. I get the best of both worlds.”
