A public hearing that was supposed to involve the Flathead County Commission taking a new stance on the proposed water compact between the state and the Confederate Salish and Kootenai Tribes has been postponed.
The hearing was originally set for Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Along with statements from the commissioners and time for public comment, the hearing was supposed to include the commission deciding on whether to rescinding its Jan. 3 letter to the Water Policy Interim Committee, which was a letter of support for the proposed water compact.
The commission was also supposed to consider a new draft letter to be sent to the governor.
