Watch Info: Canes square off with North Carolina

After returning to Coral Gables, having departed Winston-Salem on Sunday, the Canes hosted Florida Gulf Coast University in a midweek visit to Mark Light Field. That series squared away (2-1 Canes), Miami turns their attention to a Coastal Division adversary – the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Winners of two consecutive ACC series, Hurricanes Baseball (18-8, 6-3 ACC) takes on a conference foe that sits just behind the Canes in the divisional rankings. After Miami's series finale with Wake Forest and Wednesday night matchup with Florida Gulf Coast, their 8-game win streak is now replaced by a 2-game skid. With a competitive Coastal Division opponent awaiting the Canes on Friday, there's not a better time to right the ship.

The Tar Heels (15-9, 5-4 ACC) are coming off a series win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and more recently, a 9-0 victory over Appalachian State on Tuesday.

Chapel Hill, N.C. is the setting, with game one scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday night. Despite the first week of Spring nearing its end, cooler temperatures (akin to last weekend's outing with Wake Forest) are to be expected.
