(Dyersburg, TN)  A small earthquake rattled parts of West Tennessee early Monday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 1:24 a.m. Monday.

The quake’s epicenter was located along the Dyer/Obion County line about 12 miles north of Dyersburg and 5 miles southeast of Ridgely.

There have been no reports of any damage.

The earthquake happened in the same area where a 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck back on March 18.

The quake happened inside the New Madrid Fault Zone which was responsible for a series of massive earthquakes back in 1811 and 1812.
