DEHESA, Calif. — One person was in killed Friday in a collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle in the East County, authorities said.

The collision near Dehesa Road and Willow Glen Drive was reported at 6:48 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Helicopter video showed the motorcycle wedged under the right front of the SUV at the right edge of the roadway. Rescuers used an airbag to lift the SUV to get the victim out from under the vehicle, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol closed Dehesa Road at Willow Glen Drive during the investigation. It was not immediately clear when the road would reopen.
