TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Did you miss out on getting tickets for "Weird Al' Yankovic's upcoming, sold out tour stop at the Soaring Eagle Casino?

You get another shot.

The popular parody artist recently added several dates for his "Mandatory Tour," which opens May 12 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

One of newly added dates is July 5 at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, which runs July 4-11 and features the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

Tickets are $40 for premium reserved seats, $30 reserved, and $20 for general admission. They go on sale at 8 a.m. March 27, 2015.

Also going on sale tomorrow morning are a limited number of Bay Side Music Stage Passes - valid for all eight nights of Festival Music Stage -- for $50.

Purchase tickets at cherryfestival.org or call (231) 947-4230.

Tickets are expected to sell extremely well, said National Cherry Festival executive director Trevor Tkach.

"This is going to be a huge show for us," Tkach said. "'Weird Al' has been getting a ton of accolades, not only recently but for more than three decades. I'm pumped."

When tickets went on sale in late January for Weird Al's show on May 29 at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, they sold out almost immediately.

"Weird Al's" latest album "Mandatory Fun" reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, thanks in part to his version of Pharrell's "Happy," which he called "Tacky." It was released in July.

It was his first album to reach No. 1 in the U.S. According to Billboard.com, "Mandatory Fun" became "the first comedy album to top the chart since 1963, and it logged the largest sales week for a comedy album since 1994."
