Although temperatures will remain high for the rest of the week, Berks County should get a break from the oppressive humidity in the coming days.

The high reached 92 degrees Wednesday at Reading Regional Airport, said Brian Edwards, a meteorologist with AccuWeather near State College.

Humidity made the conditions uncomfortable and sticky.

But the days will get more bearable as the humidity drops, Edwards said.

“There is a cold front coming through the area from the Ohio Valley,” Edwards said. “It will be a whole lot less sticky going into the weekend.”

Temperatures will remain near 90 degrees into the weekend, with lows in the 60s.

A shower may make its way into the area Saturday evening.

Other than the heat, the next few days will feature picturesque summer weather with sun and a few clouds, Edwards said.
