A nationwide search for two suspects in an Ohio slaying ended in Central Florida when the couple was arrested Saturday in Daytona Beach Shores after law enforcement got a tip from other Ohio residents on vacation.The suspects were arrested after briefly running from police in a Daytona Beach Shores Walmart parking lot. They had been spotted in Daytona Beach last week."I felt like they were going to eventually hurt somebody," said Stephanie Anderson, one of the tipsters. "Armed and dangerous, they were desperate."Anderson and Sara Coyle didn't just see Ohio murder suspects Matthew Dowdle and Eve Kelley once Saturday, they ran in to the fugitive couple twice and got involved because the couple was pestering vacationers in a Winn-Dixie parking lot, asking for money. If they were in fact the accused killers, the girls feared for other vacationers."Someone come up missing," said Anderson. "It's going to take forever for anyone to even notice because they're on vacation. I'm like, 'No.' It just felt wrong, so I'm like, 'No we got to do something.'"Top video: Plane searchers: Spot signals consistent with black boxThe girls had heard a local news blurb about the suspects on the run in Central Florida and took interest because they are also from Ohio. While inside a Sunoco convenience store, Kelley admired beach shirts, then, hours later, the witnesses saw the couple outside Winn-Dixie.Coyle said the female came over to Anderson, on the driver's side of the car and said, "'We're out of money. I hate to bother you girls again, but do you have some money?'"The women said no and rolled up the window. "We were just like, 'that's them,'" Coyle said.The girls pulled up the news story on their phone and said they saw Dowdle's neck tattoo in the wanted photo, which they said was the same one on the man in front of them.Also see: Egg hatches in bald eagle's nestThe girls also said that the Ohio license plate tag was a match. They called 911 and police quickly spotted the vehicle. The Ohio suspects bailed in the Walgreens parking lot, but were eventually arrested."We're on vacation from Ohio," Coyle said.
